According to ChainCatcher, as reported by CoinDesk, Matter Labs, the developer of Layer 2 blockchain ZKsync, is facing a lawsuit over alleged intellectual property theft. The suit was filed by the defunct digital asset banking platform BANKEX.

BANKEX CEO Igor Khmel and the BANKEX Foundation claim, in a lawsuit filed on March 19th with the New York Supreme Court, that former BANKEX employees Alexandr Vlasov and Petr Korolev stole their technology to establish Matter Labs, which has since gained over $450 million in venture investment and become a major player in the blockchain industry.
