RedotPay enters South Korea with crypto-powered payment cards 🇰🇷
Hong Kong fintech firm RedotPay has launched its cryptocurrency-enabled payment cards in South Korea, aiming to disrupt the market dominated by credit card firms and mobile payment services. These cards, accepted by merchants supporting Visa, mark a step in RedotPay’s global expansion, following its partnership with Visa and StraitsX.
RedotPay, founded in 2023, serves over 4 million users globally with both physical and virtual crypto debit cards. Korean users can obtain a virtual card for $10 or a physical card for $100 with minimal verification. The cards work with major cryptocurrencies and stablecoins and are compatible with Apple Pay in Seoul.
Crypto adoption in South Korea is rising, with over 16 million holders. This trend influences the 2025 presidential race, with candidates promising favorable crypto policies.
