The Dubai government has formed a partnership with Crypto.com to enable payment for government services using cryptocurrencies. The agreement, formalized at the Dubai Fintech Summit, is a significant move towards digital finance, leveraging Crypto.com's technology to convert payments into dirhams.
This marks a step forward in the Dubai Cashless Strategy, aiming to make over 90% of financial transactions cashless by 2026. The partnership was officiated by key Dubai finance executives, indicating governmental support for cryptocurrency solutions aligning with Dubai's economic vision.
Notably, the Trump Organization will also accept cryptocurrency in Dubai, supporting mainstream integration of digital currencies.
